ANC's six story facility (pictured above) has recently been completed in downtown Colombo. The facility contains nine classrooms, two computer laboratories, a library, a food service, and faculty and administrative offices. The first semester will begin on May 15th, 2002. American National College is designed to offer Sri Lankan students an affordable alternative to spending four or more years overseas at colleges and universities. Students may obtain one or two years of credits toward their Associates or Bachelors Degrees locally before transfering to a U.S. College or University. Initially, ANC will be offering first and second year coursework. ANC will begin offering upper level courses in the third year of operations. Graduate courses will also be offered in the near future. Transcripts of all courses completed will be produced by an American college as well as all degrees and certificates earned. The Presidents' Network will be aiding students in transferring to their participating member institutions. American National College is the trade name of American Education Centre, Ltd. (AEC). AEC is a joint venture between the Presidents' Network, Inc. (PresNet), an organization of American Colleges and Universities, and Ceylinco Consolidated, one of the best known and most respected companies in Sri Lanka. |
